Take a glimpse at a few noteworthy moments from the schedules of each team in 2024.

AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST

Blue Jays
Opening Day: March 28 @ Rays

Toronto is set to embark on a demanding 10-game road trip against Tampa Bay, Houston, and the Yankees as they kick off their season. Following this challenging start, the team will host their home opener on April 8 against the Mariners. Notably, three visiting teams will make their return to Rogers Centre after a significant gap of at least eight years: the Rockies (April 12-14, their first trip since 2013), Dodgers (April 26-28, their first since 2016), and Marlins (Sept. 27-29, their first since 2015), who will conclude the season in Toronto.

Orioles
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Angels

The Orioles will have a limited number of games against their AL East rivals early in the season, with only three out of their first 27 games being played against division opponents until April 28. One particular series to mark on the calendar is when Manny Machado returns to Camden Yards as a visitor for only the second time, and the first since 2019, when the Padres visit from July 26-28. Another notable matchup is when the D-backs make their first visit since 2016 in May, creating an exciting showdown between two of the most promising young teams of the season.

Rays
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Blue Jays

Can the Rays replicate their scorching start from 2023 in the upcoming 2024 season? Last year, they kicked off with an impressive 13-game winning streak, with 10 of those victories being achieved at home. In the following year, Tampa Bay will have the advantage of playing 14 out of its first 20 games at home at The Trop. This includes matchups against the Rangers, Giants, and Angels. However, the Rays will face a challenging stretch towards the end of the season, with 16 out of their final 22 games taking place on the road. The season will conclude with a series at Fenway Park from September 27-29.

Red Sox
Opening Day: March 28 @ Mariners

Following a 10-game road trip to start the season, Fenway Park will come alive with baseball action on April 9 as the Red Sox welcome the Orioles. Later in the month, the Cubs will visit Boston for only their fourth regular-season series at Fenway, marking their first visit since 2017. Additionally, the Padres will make a long-awaited return to Boston, with their last visit dating back to 2013. This series, taking place from June 28-30, will hold special significance as it will see Xander Bogaerts, a former Red Sox player, make an emotional return to his former home.

Yankees
Opening Day: March 28 @ Astros

Indeed, the Yankees will commence their 2024 season with an away series against their perennial postseason rival, the Astros. Their home opener is scheduled for April 5 against the Blue Jays. The Yankees' 2024 schedule also features a special visit from their former New York counterparts, the Dodgers, from June 7-9. While the Yankees have hosted the Dodgers in an impressive 32 World Series games throughout history (21 of which were before the franchise relocated from Brooklyn), the Dodgers have only played five regular-season games at Yankee Stadium, with two in 2013 and three in 2016.

AL CENTRAL

Guardians
Opening Day: March 28 @ A’s

Cleveland's first homestand of the season, taking place from April 8-14, will feature matchups against the White Sox and Yankees. However, the visit that is generating more excitement is when the Mets come to Progressive Field from May 20-22. This series holds special significance as it will mark Francisco Lindor's first time playing at Progressive Field as a visitor since his trade prior to the 2021 season. Earlier in May, Lindor already had the opportunity to face the Guardians at Citi Field, where he delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning during their first meeting.

Royals
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Twins

In the upcoming 2024 season, three NL West teams that have had limited appearances at Kauffman Stadium in the past will be making a visit to Kansas City. The Padres, D-backs, and Giants, who have only played two games at Kauffman Stadium in 2017 since their World Series title win there in 2014, will be coming to town. Additionally, the Royals will also be hosting the Marlins for the first time since 2013.

Tigers
Opening Day: March 28 @ White Sox

The Tigers will kick off their home games on April 5 with a matchup against the A's. Throughout the month, they will also host the Twins, Rangers, Royals, and Cardinals. One notable Interleague series is scheduled for July 12-14, as the Dodgers will make their long-awaited return to Comerica Park since 2017. It's worth mentioning that Freddie Freeman has not played a game in Detroit since 2013, while Clayton Kershaw, if he decides to continue his career with the Dodgers, could have the opportunity to pitch at Comerica Park for the first time since June 15, 2008, when he was just 20 years old and making his fifth career start.

Twins
Opening Day: March 28 @ Royals

On April 4, the Guardians will have the role of the visiting team for Target Field's home opener. In the second half of the season, the Phillies (July 22-24) and Marlins (Sept. 24-26) will both have their first visits to Minnesota since 2016. It is noteworthy that Target Field is the only currently active MLB ballpark where two-time NL MVP Bryce Harper has not yet played a regular-season game. The series against the Marlins will also mark the return of former Twin Luis Arraez, who has been striving for a .400 average in the 2023 season after being traded during the offseason.

White Sox
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Tigers

The White Sox will bookend the regular season by facing the Tigers, beginning with a series against them and concluding the season at Detroit from September 27-29. Additionally, the Sox will have an early visit from the Braves (April 1-3), marking their first appearance at Guaranteed Rate Field since 2016. It's worth noting that this visit occurred two years prior to the debut of the dynamic and exciting Ronald Acuña Jr.

AL WEST

Angels
Opening Day: March 28 @ Orioles

The home opener at Angel Stadium is scheduled for April 5, featuring a matchup against the Red Sox. Interestingly, the Angels won't face an AL West opponent until June 7, when they welcome the Astros to Anaheim. However, during that period, the Phillies (April 29-May 1) will visit, and it is worth noting that Bryce Harper has only played one game at Angel Stadium in his career, which was back in 2017. Furthermore, he has not yet had the opportunity to play at Angel Stadium while wearing a Phillies uniform.

Astros
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Yankees

Houston will have an exciting start to the 2024 season with several significant series taking place at Minute Maid Park. The Yankees, Blue Jays, Rangers, and Braves will all visit Houston within the first three weeks of the season. Notably, the Braves' series from April 15-17 will be their first visit to Minute Maid Park since their victorious 2021 World Series. This will also provide an opportunity for Ronald Acuña Jr. to make his debut at Minute Maid Park, as he missed the World Series due to an injury. Additionally, the Astros will participate in the Mexico City Series, facing the Rockies on April 27-28.

Athletics
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Guardians

The upcoming season will mark the seventh occasion in franchise history that the A's begin their season against the Guardians, with the most recent instance occurring in 2014. In April, the A's will have important series, including home games against the Red Sox and Cardinals, as well as away games against the Rangers, Yankees, Guardians, and Orioles. On May 8, the team will have a doubleheader against the Rangers, which is one of two scheduled doubleheaders across the Majors in 2024.

Mariners
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Red Sox

In a rare occurrence, the Mariners will start their season against the Red Sox for only the second time in franchise history. The Red Sox had previously visited Seattle for Opening Day in 2000, which was several months before the birth of Julio Rodríguez, one of the Mariners' talented players. From April 26-28, the Mariners will also have a series against the D-backs, during which they will have the opportunity to welcome Corbin Carroll, a Seattle native and a strong contender for the 2023 NL Rookie of the Year Award. Carroll recently received a warm welcome from fans during the All-Star festivities held at T-Mobile Park.

Rangers
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Cubs

The upcoming season will mark the fifth occasion since 2014, and the fourth since 2019, that the Rangers will host an NL team on Opening Day. Notably, the Cubs were the opponent in 2019 and secured a decisive 12-4 victory. Additionally, the Rangers have the honor of hosting the All-Star Game in 2024, with the 94th edition of the Midsummer Classic scheduled for July 16 at Globe Life Field. This will be the second time that the All-Star Game comes to town, with the previous occurrence taking place in 1995 at The Ballpark in Arlington.

NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST

Braves
Opening Day: March 28 at Phillies

Truist Park's first homestand of the season, taking place from April 5-11, will showcase games against the D-backs followed by a matchup against NL East rivals, the Mets. From April 26-28, the Guardians will visit Truist Park for the first time since its opening in 2017. This will also be the second series in Atlanta for Cleveland star José Ramírez, who previously appeared at Turner Field in 2016. The Braves' home Interleague schedule will also feature matchups against teams such as the Rangers, Red Sox, Rays, and Blue Jays, among others.

Marlins
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Pirates

The season-opening homestand in Miami will feature games against the Pirates and Angels, followed by a road trip for the Marlins to face the Cardinals and Yankees. From July 5-7, the White Sox will visit Miami for a series, which has only occurred twice before in franchise history (in 2004 and 2016). This series will also mark the debut of star center fielder Luis Robert Jr., who is a Cuba native. Miami will also host other Interleague opponents in 2024, including the Rangers, Guardians, and Mariners.

Mets
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Brewers

Citi Field will not host an NL East rival until a homestand against the Braves and Phillies from May 10-14. The Mets will have early home games against the Royals, who will be visiting for the first time since 2016, which was the year after they won the World Series. The Mets will then travel to London from June 8-9 to face the Phillies in the 2024 London Series. The Twins will come to Queens from July 29-31, marking Carlos Correa's second game against the Mets in his career, his first at Citi Field, and his first since his free-agent deal with the team fell apart last offseason.

Nationals
Opening Day: March 28 @ Reds

Following their initial game in Cincinnati, the Nationals will make their way back to Washington for their home opener against the Pirates on April 1. This will mark the beginning of a homestand that will also include a visit from the Phillies. Notable events during the season at Nationals Park include the Twins' first visit since 2016 from May 20-22, a Fourth of July matchup against the Mets, and a series against the Angels from August 9-11. The series against the Angels holds significance as it could potentially feature former Nationals star Anthony Rendon's return to D.C. as an opponent, following his departure as a free agent after the club's championship-winning season in 2019.

Phillies
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Braves

The Phillies will have a favorable start to the season with 16 out of their first 22 games being played at home. Afterward, they will embark on a 10-game road trip, visiting Cincinnati, San Diego, and Anaheim. One of their most notable trips will be from June 8-9 when they participate in the 2024 London Series against the Mets. Towards the end of the regular season, the Phillies will face the Mets in seven of their final 16 games. The home Interleague schedule for the Phillies will feature highlights such as the Guardians, who will be visiting Citizens Bank Park for the first time since 2016, and the Astros, who will be visiting for the first time since 2017.

NL CENTRAL

Brewers
Opening Day: March 28 @ Mets

The Mets will have a significant presence in the Brewers' 2024 schedule, as they will have both their season opener and a later series in Milwaukee from September 27-29. The first homestand at American Family Field from April 2-7 will include Interleague matchups against the Twins and Mariners. Additionally, the Brewers will host several teams from the AL East throughout the season, including the Yankees from April 26-28, the Rays from April 29-May 1, and the Blue Jays from June 10-12.

Cardinals
Opening Day: March 28 @ Dodgers

The Cardinals will kick off their home games on April 4 with a matchup against the Marlins. In addition to their games at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals have a special home game scheduled for June 20 in Birmingham, Alabama. This game will take place at the historic Rickwood Field, the oldest professional ballpark in the United States and the former home of the Negro Leagues' Birmingham Black Barons. The Cardinals will be designated as the home team for this game against the Giants.

Throughout the season, the Cardinals will also have Interleague matchups that will bring some exciting young stars to Busch Stadium for the first time. This includes players like Rafael Devers from the Red Sox, who will visit from May 17-19, Adley Rutschman from the Orioles, who will visit from May 20-22, Wander Franco from the Rays, who will visit from August 6-8, and Julio Rodríguez from the Mariners, who will visit from September 6-8.

Cubs
Opening Day: March 28 @ Rangers

The start of another season at Wrigley Field will be marked by a homestand from April 1-7, featuring games against the Rockies and Dodgers. Throughout the 2024 season, Wrigley Field will host several intriguing Interleague opponents. Notably, the Astros will visit from April 23-25, marking their first games at Wrigley since 2013, when they moved from the NL Central to the AL West.

On August 16-18, the Blue Jays will come to Wrigley, marking Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s debut at the historic ballpark. Then, from September 6-8, the Yankees will visit, providing the opportunity for Anthony Rizzo to return to Wrigley for the first time since his trade in 2021. These matchups promise to bring excitement and anticipation to Wrigley Field throughout the season.

Reds
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Nationals

In 2024, Cincinnati will continue its tradition of hosting the Opening Day game, this time against the Nationals. However, the team will face a tough stretch towards the end of the season, with 14 out of the final 20 games being played on the road. The road trips will include matchups against the Mets, Cardinals, Twins, Guardians, and Cubs.

In between these road games, Cincinnati will also welcome several American League teams to their home field. The Angels, Astros, A's, Orioles, and Red Sox will all make visits to Cincinnati. Notably, the A's will be returning for the first time since 2016. This challenging schedule promises an exciting and competitive season for the Cincinnati Reds.

Pirates
Opening Day: March 28 @ Marlins

To start the year, the Pirates will hit the road and visit Miami and Washington. Following that, they will return to PNC Park for their first homestand from April 5-9, where they will face the Orioles and Tigers.

Throughout the 2024 season, the Pirates will host several teams that haven't visited Pittsburgh in quite some time. The Orioles, Angels (May 6-8), and Rays (June 21-23) will all make their return after at least a four-year absence. This will provide an opportunity for players like Adley Rutschman from the Orioles and Wander Franco from the Rays to make their Pittsburgh debuts. Interestingly, Mike Trout has only played three games in his career at PNC Park.

On September 15, for the annual Roberto Clemente Day when all 30 teams will be in action, the Pirates will host the Royals. This special day will honor the legacy of Roberto Clemente, and the Pirates will have the privilege of hosting the game at PNC Park.

NL WEST

D-backs
Opening Day: March 28 vs. Rockies

Following the Opening Day series against the Rockies, the D-backs will face a less familiar opponent at Chase Field. The Yankees will visit from April 1-3, marking only the 12th time in their history that they will play at Chase Field in the regular season. Notably, Aaron Judge has yet to appear in a game at Chase Field.

In addition to the Yankees, the D-backs will also host the White Sox from June 14-16 and the Blue Jays from July 12-14. These matchups will be the first time these teams have played at Arizona since at least 2017. Therefore, it presents an opportunity for players like Luis Robert Jr. from the White Sox and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. from the Blue Jays to potentially make their Chase Field debuts.

The D-backs will conclude their season at home with series against division rivals. They will face the Giants from September 23-25 and the Padres from September 27-29, providing an exciting end to the season for fans at Chase Field.

Dodgers
Opening Day: March 20 at Padres (in Seoul, South Korea)

The Dodgers have been given the prestigious opportunity to participate in the Seoul Series, marking the first time that regular-season MLB games will be played in Korea. This holds special significance for the franchise, as they have had four notable South Korean players in their history, including Chan Ho Park and Hyun Jin Ryu. The Dodgers will face the Padres in the first two games of the season (March 20-21) as part of this historic series. In the first game, the Dodgers will be designated as the road team, while they will be the home team for the second game.

At Dodger Stadium, there are several noteworthy matchups scheduled for the 2024 season. On Jackie Robinson Day (April 15), the Dodgers will face the Nationals, adding to the significance of the day. Additionally, Corey Seager, who is now a member of the Rangers, will make his regular-season return to Dodger Stadium from June 11-13. Another exciting highlight is the visit of the Red Sox from July 19-21, marking their first appearance at Dodger Stadium since the 2018 World Series. These matchups promise to bring excitement and memorable moments to Dodger Stadium in the 2024 season

Giants
Opening Day: March 28 at Padres

The Giants will kick off their season with a series of 10 consecutive games against NL West opponents. This includes their season opener as well as their home opener on April 5, both of which will be against the Padres.

One unique event on the Giants' schedule is a matchup against the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 20. This historic game will take place on a field where a young Willie Mays once played in the Negro Leagues.

San Francisco will also host the second of two planned doubleheaders across the Major Leagues on July 27, with the Rockies as their opponents. This will provide fans with the excitement of two games in one day.

Fans should also keep an eye out for visits from a couple of players who were targeted by the Giants during the previous offseason. Aaron Judge, who has never played at Oracle Park, will visit with the Yankees from May 31 to June 2. Additionally, Carlos Correa, a former target of the Giants, will visit with the Twins from July 12-14. These matchups promise to add excitement and anticipation to the Giants' schedule.

Padres
Opening Day: March 20 vs. Dodgers (in Seoul, South Korea)

San Diego will start their season with two games in Asia as they participate in the Seoul Series against the Dodgers. This holds special significance for infielder Ha-Seong Kim, who will be returning to his native Korea, where he had a successful career in the KBO before joining the Majors in 2021.

The Padres' home opener at Petco Park is scheduled for March 28 against the Giants, who will be in town for a four-game series. This will be followed by a three-game series against the Cardinals.

An exciting moment in the 2024 schedule is the visit of the Blue Jays from April 19-21. This will be their first visit to Petco Park since 2013, adding to the anticipation of the matchup. Additionally, the schedule also promises Aaron Judge's first regular-season visit to Petco Park with the Yankees from May 24-26. It is worth noting that Judge has had success at Petco Park before, hitting two home runs there during the 2020 ALDS against the Rays.

These events and matchups add to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the Padres' 2024 season at Petco Park.

Rockies
Opening Day: March 28 @ D-backs

The Rockies will embark on a series of travels early in the season, with trips planned to Arizona, Chicago, Toronto, and Philadelphia over the first few weeks. Additionally, they will journey south to face the Astros in the Mexico City Series from April 27-28.

The Rockies' home opener on April 5 will mark their first time hosting the Rays since 2016, providing an exciting matchup at Coors Field. Furthermore, the Red Sox (July 22-24) and Orioles (Aug. 30-Sept. 1) are also scheduled for rare visits to Coors Field, adding to the anticipation of these matchups.

Overall, the Rockies' early season travels and unique home matchups promise an eventful and diverse schedule at Coors Field.
